The Gallery: Adventure

Adventure is all about trying new things, getting out and broadening your experiences. It's so much more fun when you can do it with a friend!!

When my parents visited last year we took the kids to the local bird park. They had a few new attractions since we had been last, okay it was 3 or 4 years between visits!! One particular thing caught the attention of my mum, the foot soak. For a small fee you could sit down and soak your tired feet in a big tank filled with little fish!! The little fish then feasted on the dead skin on your feet.

My daughter was scared out of her mind, it took ages for her to put her feet in the water and then when she did they were out again in a flash. My mum on the other hand had her feet in before we had paid and didn't want to leave!! There was actually a time limit of five minutes but I think the old lady manning the pool took pity on us and let us stay as long as we wanted. Thinking back though a five year old and a seven year old don't have that much dead skin on their feet so maybe it was justified!! Mum on the other hand joked that the fish might have a heart attack after gorging on her feet!!

I didn't get the chance to do it as I was rocking a 4 week old in the sling but I'd love to go back now. I have soaked my hands in a tank of flesh eating fish though, quite an experience. Have you ever tried either of these?
